NJ License Info
Residents
- To obtain a license in New Jersey, you must have your fingerprinting completed before applying for the license.
- Go to www.state.nj.us/dobi/livescan.htm to print the MorphoTrak fingerprint application. .
- Call 877-503-5981 to schedule your fingerprinting appointment. Be sure to take the following with you to this appointment.
- Completed MorphoTrak application
- A photo ID that includes name, address, and date of birth (valid photo driver license, valid photo State issued passport).
- $70.25 fingerprint fee (money order or credit card, no checks accepted)
- Once you have completed the fingerprinting process you will then need to go to: www.state.nj.us/dobi/inslic.htm to complete the license application, use credit card to pay the $100 licensing fee.
- Once on the site choose "Online New Resident Producer Applications"
- On the next page click on "Apply for a New Resident Producer License"
- On the left hand side of the NIPR page click on "Begin ERL Application"
- Once you receive your New Jersey License forward a copy along with the $80.00 appointment fee to:
